Armida Francisco

Armida Francisco believes that she must undergo her own evolutionary development as an artist and evolve into the very essence of her own creative self.In pursuit of new ideas and techniques,she journeys through the concept of broken light by design.What distinguishes her impressionism-her landscape,figures and still life-is the impact of broken light where her colors-warm and cool -collide as if on an inevitable course brought about by the delicate strokes of her color- infused fingers.From being a graphic designer and a freelance illustrator for books and magazines,she evolved into a full-pledge visual artist when she returned from abroad.She was born in Manila.She went to the Far Eastern University where she received BS Fine arts.She was married to an Iranian national,the late Architect Karim Rad.She has illustrated children's books by Iranian writers published in Iran .Her pen and ink on illustration board of the Qazvin City Mosque has been collected by the Qazvin Museum in Iran.She was awarded as best Graphic designer in Qazvin ,Iran.She has two solo and 20 group exhibits to her credit.
